We are not actually near a precipice - there are mountains back there.

It was so bright that it was difficult to capture both the mountains and our faces. Contrary to appearances, the sun was brightly shining!


At Trapiche, we tasted a sparkling wine, a sauvignon blanc, and a malbec, all delicious.

The local government has helpfully established the "Ruta del Vino" for bicycling tourists, including signs keeping us to the correct path.


La Rural is a winery that has apparently been continuously operating for over a hundred years. They still have enormous oak casks, although they are no longer used.






La Rural has collections of old farm equipment.
















Flowers bloom here even in the fall.
