Amanda's Parents

Douglas and Anna Rohn live in Parma, OH, where Amanda was born and raised (although Mr. Rohn is temporarily stationed in Washington, DC). Mr. Rohn is a mechanical engineer for NASA, and Mrs. Rohn is an eighth grade history teacher.

Tim's Parents

Donald and Connie Lee live in the Eagan, MN, home where Tim grew up. Mr. Lee is a software engineer, and Mrs. Lee is a homemaker and former Spanish teacher starting a second career as a writer.

Groomsmen

Best Man

An Ohio native and Case Western Reserve alumnus, Ryan Nunn lived with Tim in Washington DC in 2004 and 2005. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in economics at the University of Michigan and lives in Ann Arbor.

Matthew Schempp

Matthew has known Tim since they went to high school together. They were roommates from 2000 to 2002 when they were both attending the University of Minnesota. Matthew is working as a high-school teacher and lives with his wife Stephanie in West Saint Paul. The couple is expecting their first child in May.

Chaim Katz

A New Jersey native, Chaim was Tim's roommate in Washington DC in 2004. He is working on a Ph.D. in political science at the University of Virginia, but just to confuse people, he's doing it while living and teaching in Boston, MA.

Andrew Lee

Andrew is Tim's brother. He earned a computer engineering degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and is now living in Santa Barbara, CA, where he is running an Internet startup and teaching gymnastics on the side.

Matron of Honor

Audra Rohn Bailey is Amanda's oldest sister. She has been Amanda's right-hand woman in wedding planning, taking care of many important details while Amanda has been rushing to finish medical school. She lives with her husband, Steve, in North Ridgeville.

Bethany Lee

Bethany is Tim's sister. She has an art degree and works at a flower shop, so Tim and Amanda were thrilled when she offered to do the flowers for the wedding. She lives in St. Paul, MN.

Ellen Rohn

Ellen is Amanda's middle sister. She lives and works at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. She has a degree in history and communications from Miami University in Oxford, OH.

Emma Rohn

Emma is Amanda's youngest sister. She will graduate from Miami University the same month her big sister finishes med school. She is planning to become an English teacher.

Flower Girl

Marisa Chow is Tim's cousin. She and Amanda bonded in the Spring of 2007, when Tim and Amanda spent a week visiting the Chows in San Francisco. Amanda visited San Francisco again in April to help Marisa pick out her flower girl dress.

Minister

Arthur G. Severance

Rev. Severance is the minister of East Shore Unitarian Church in Kirtland, OH, and a former colleague of Tim and Amanda's minister in St. Louis. Tim and Amanda enjoy listening to his sermons, many of which are available by podcast. Rev. Severance graduated from the Lancaster Theological Seminary and has served Unitarian congregations in Pennsylvania, Texas, Colorado, and Ohio. He is married and has three daughters.

Ushers

Adam Creuziger

Adam and Tim were college housemates from 2000 to 2002. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Adam earned a Ph.D. in engineering mechanics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He lives in Maryland with his wife, Heidi, and their daughter, Kara. Watch out for this new walker at the wedding!

Frank Kao

Frank and Tim have been friends since high school, when they played chess on Tim's calculator instead of paying attention in class. They lived together during college and have kept in touch since they both moved to the East Coast. Frank now lives in Brooklyn with his partner, Keledy.

Readers and Musicians

Stephanie Nogan Bailey

Stephanie met Amanda when they both lived in the same dormitory at Case Western Reserve University. Stephanie and Amanda are both avid knitters. Stephanie is a biomedical engineer and works in a research lab at the VA Hospital. She lives in Shaker Heights with her husband, Justin.

Anna Graseck

Anna met Amanda in medical school where they endured many long study sessions together. They share many interests, including knitting, cooking, and women's health. She lives in St. Louis, where she has one more year of medical school to complete.

Michelle Sabo

Michelle met Amanda when they were anatomy partners during their first year of medical school, and they have been close ever since. Michelle and her fiance Steve served as foster parents to her cats while Amanda was on the East Coast. Michelle is getting a Ph.D. from Wash U as well as her M.D., so Tim and Amanda plan to visit them in St. Louis for several more years.

Eric Shieh

Eric, a St. Louis native, was Tim's roommate in 2007 and 2008. An accomplished musician, Eric worked as a music teacher in St. Louis area schools before moving to New York to study education at the Teacher's College at Columbia University. Eric and Tim are anxiously awaiting the debut of the new Star Trek movie in May.
